Sherlock

In the BBC’s Sherlock, Benedict Cumberbatch has played the famous sleuth since 2010. Cumberbatch’s Sherlock is adept at using technology to hack and cyber-stalk to achieve his ends and is portrayed as a complex and contradictory tortured soul, both arrogant and isolated, veering between depression and mania, and shocking clients with his bluntness. His excellent rapport with Watson, played by Martin Freeman, made this incarnation an instant modern classic.
